Katy Kung, who entered the entertainment industry at the age of 19, has been receiving widespread acclaim in recent years. Her performances in various TV dramas have consistently earned her accolades at the TVB Awards Presentation. In 2015, she won the Best Supporting Actress for her role as "Ching Sze Yu" in "Two Steps from Heaven", followed by TVB Star Awards Malaysia for My Favourite TVB Actor Award for her portrayal of "Yi Lan" in "Death By Zero” in 2020. Her character "Yau Hoi Kei" in "Hong Kong Love Stories" also won her the title of TVB Anniversary Award for Most Popular Female Character.
